Top 5 Must Buy Accessories For Instapot

Whether you just invested in an Instant pot, or are a long time user like me, you should consider some instant pot accessories that will supplement your instapot and allow you to get the most out of it. After doing extensive research for my two instant pots, I compiled this list of the top 5 best accessories I found. So without further ado:

Steam Release

This is an extremely simple and inexpensive accessory, and yet it’s been one of the most useful purchases I’ve made for my instapot. After I prepare my dish in the instapot and turn it on, I like to push it back against the wall to free up counter space. The only problem is most of the counter space has cabinets over it, and when the instapot releases steam, it all ends up on the bottom of my cabinets. All the buildup of moisture eventually started peeling the paint and mold started forming under my cabinets. The easy fix? This little plastic pipe that redirects the steam in the direction of your choosing.

  • Directs steam anyway you want, with 360 degrees of rotation.
  • Fits all Instapot Models except Lux
  • BPA Free and Odorless
  • Food Grade and Dishwasher safe.

Instant Pot Cover

I store my instant Pots on my counter and while I don’t mind how they look, I know some people who prefer to have them covered when they’re not using them. For those who want an instant pot cover, I recommend this one from Debbiedoo’s.

  • Available in 3, 6 and 8-quart sizes
  • Various Designs to choose from (my favorite is the black)
  • Made of 100% cotton

Inner Cooking Pot

I never thought I would need an extra inner cooking pot because an instapot can only use one at a time. But I quickly found out that having an extra one made things so much easier. Sometimes one would be dirty and I could just grab the other one. Or sometimes I store leftovers in the pot and instead of transferring all the food out, I can just get my extra one. It’s also convenient if you’re preparing more than one dish. Those are just some examples of how an extra pot can be useful.

  • Genuine Instapot so you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues
  • Food Grade with no chemical coating
  • Easily Cleaned

Sillicone Lid

As mentioned above, I like to store leftovers in the stainless-steel pot. It saves me from washing extra storage containers and its super convenient. Instapot makes this really easy, with their silicone lid. After eating, I just pop this lid on and put it in the fridge.

  • Air and Watertight, Spill Proof
  • Food Safe – passed FDA and LFGB tests, BPA free
  • Available sizes: 3qt, 6qt, 8qt

Mini Mitts

Instant Pots obviously can get pretty hot, making it a bit difficult to get the pot out of the machine after the food is done cooking. But the makers of Instant Pot got you covered with a pair of mini mitts made just for this problem. They’re small but have great grip, making removal of the pot a breeze.

  • Grips Instant Pot Well
